Wesley Joined SDB in 2017 as CFO of the Company. His responsibilities include financial strategy and operational implementation, assessment of organic and acquisition expansion opportunities, leading accounting, HR, and finance.
Over his 30+ year career, Wesley has developed and honed his skills in the operational accounting, corporate accounting, finance, and FP&A departments of several multi-billion dollar Fortune 500 companies or their trading subsidiaries to include Apache Corp., Entergy, and Columbia Energy. He has also served as CFO or Corporate Controller positions in private or private equity (Oaktree, SCF Partners) owned portfolio companies. In 2001, Wesley co-founded a small, successful oilfield services company that was eventually acquired by Key Energy Services.
Wesley has a bachelor’s in business (BBA) with an accounting concentration and a master’s in business (MBA) with a finance concentration – both from the University of Houston. He has been an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1995 and is a member of both the Texas Society of CPA’s and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He has a chartered global management accountant (CGMA) certification through the AICPA since 2012. He obtained a Six-Sigma Greenbelt Certification from Villanova University (non-active).
Wesley has been married for 30 years and has 4 adult children. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife, camping, fishing, golfing, and hunting with his family.
